I agree with many others. I have always heard it is a sign of a liver problem.

Probably jaundice. It's caused by liver problems. I've never heard about it turning the whites of your eyes yellow, but it most certainly turns your face and other skin areas yellow. Alcoholics that end up having liver failure, or psorosis of the liver, get jaundice, but that's not the only way. There's liver disease obviously and Hepatitis causes it. I'd see a doctor IMMEDIATELY!
