how do i identify a unknown pill?!

Question:
i found a pill and don't know what it is
Answers:
Prescription pills have the manufactures name or logo stamped into it as well as a code number which you can look up on an online pill identifier. If the identifier can't find the pill try and figure out the manufactures name from the stamp and look up their website.

Take it to a pharmacist.

Consult your local pharmacist?

swallow it and see what happens.

Does it have any letters on it? How many milliagrams? What color is it? Why do you want to know?

If in doubt, THROW IT OUT.

By taking it and paying attention to your body. However, why would you keep it? It is far too dangerous.

take it to a lab

I did this on line once. I think you look for a PDR book on line. If you can see the manufacture code you can look it up that way.

Call your doctor or take it to a pharmacist.

take it to a pharasist!!

There is a book called "The Pill Book" and it has pictures of every pill you can think of, and what it is used for, dosage, etc. You can get it at most any bookstore.

Show it to the Police. Just be prepared to go to jail. Possession is a crime. LOL!

YOU CAN GO TO THE LIBRARY AND LOOK IT UP IN A PDR(PHYSICIANS DESK REFERANCE) THAT SHOULD HELP OR CALL THE POISON HOTLINE IN YOUR AREA

Each doctor has a book called the PDR Physicians Drug Reference. It has pictures of all medicines that you can use to identify your pill. It also has all the necessary info about each medicine. It is the one most doctors like myself use.
