The kidneys normally excrete excess potassium from the body. Therefore, most cases of hyperkalemia are caused by disorders that reduce the kidneys' ability to excrete potassium.
There are no at-home treatments I could find. you should really talk to your doctor about it.

Kidney problems as mentioned above, but it could also be something as simple as trauma to the blood during the draw.
Sometimes if the tourniquet is on too tight when the blood is being drawn, this can result in red blood cells being destroyed and releasing potassium into the blood tube, resulting in a false positive high potassium level.
1st step, another blood test. Then go from there with your Dr.
Repeat the test. If persistan then go see a physician
