how do you stop from getting head lice (nits)?!

Question:
hahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha.
Answers:
Lice are very easy to prevent but difficult to treat. The most effective prevention is maintaining good hygiene.
Do not share personal items like combs, brushes, clips, hair bands, hats, scarves, coats, brushes or towels.
Never try on hats or any headwear while at a shop. This way you put yourself at risk of contracting lice.
Never touch head to head with any person.
Wash your all the clothes after you visit to a hair dresser.
Check your child's hair behind and above the ears and on the back of the neck carefully every day. If nits are found, start using head louse/lice home remedy immediately.
If nits are found - thoroughly wash bedding linen, pillows, towels, coats, scarves, hats, brushes, combs, etc. in hot water with tea tree oil or dettol added.
To prevent the spread of head lice, if any family member is infected, treat all members of the family at the same time.
When you notice that lice is spreading in school, you should consider trimming your son's hair to a shorter lenght (less than 1 cm). The lice cannot find suitable environment in short hair.

keep your coats away from other people coats
etc.

Stop getting head from those Ethiopians from out of state. They pay higher tuition than you to stay in school. Why do they need more money? Because they need more ninja training to steal your bike.

Lice don't like clean hair. So, wash your hair regularly.

If you do get lice, the most gentle and effective way to get rid of them is to comb them out -- using a lice comb and a bottle of hair conditioner (some people use mayonaise, olive oil or other greasy substances). Then repeat the combing every week for a couple of weeks to make sure all the nits are gone.

OBVIOUSLY DO NOT SHARE ANY HAIR ITEMS OR THING THAT COME IN CONTACT WITH YOUR HAIR. TEA TREE OIL I HEARD WILL KEEP THEM AWAY AND ALSO IF YOU DYE YOUR HAIR. CLEAN HAIR HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH GETTING LICE. YOU CAN WASH YOUR HAIR 2-3 TIMES A DAY AND STILL GET LICE. REGULAR SHAMPOO DOES NOT KILL THEM. DO TRY TEA TREE OIL I USED IT WHEN I WAS TEACHING AND NEVER GOT LICE IN ALL THE MANY OUTBREAKS WE HAD. HOPE THIS HELPS!
