After hard physical work does a hot bath do any good or is it all in the mind?!

Question:

Answers:
Heat promotes muscle relaxation. Hot baths, sauna, whirlpool and dry heat can be good methods of relaxation.

Other Answers:
The fact that it is all the mind does the good. Plus, it will soothe your muscles, which stimulates it to be 'all in the mind'.

Yes - it heats up the muscles & capillaries, thus allowing the blood to flow more freely through them. This allows the body to allow the rebuilding of muscles to progress more quickly, as well as remove the toxins that build up in the muscles (i.e. lactic acid) during the work.

Even if it is all in the mind, that in and of itself is a good thing. The psychological and physical go hand in hand. However, i believe that the heat also kind of loosens up the blood vessels, improving circulation.

i would say it does u good the hot water would help relax muscles which would ease blood flow and make u more relaxed..it prob has something to do with the mind but doesnt everything?

Plop in a scoop pf epsome salts, and you will feel like a million buck after that bath!

Well, I don't know if it's all in the mind, but if it is rest assured that if your mind is relaxed your body will soon follow, if you are considering this run a nice hot bath put on some soothing music and light a candle. Lather, Rinse, Repeat.

Your thinking too hard if your relaxed than it works don't stress your brain as well as your body..
