as many times as i read answers to that question, i still insist that it all depends on the person. and i also think it's not so much how much sleep you get, it's when you get it. try getting into a routine and getting up at approx. the same time everyday. that means weekends too. i think you'll feel much better after that becomes a routine.

It varies widely. I know a guy who lives on 3-4 hours a night. That's unusual but the point is that no one time length is 'right' for everyone. You have to march to the beat of your own drum - or circadian rhythm, as it were.
