My six year old son has a chronic cough and stomach ache any ideas what this cou!

Question:
I was told he had pneumonia last month they saw it on a cat scan of his abdomen when they were trying to diagnose his stomach pain. he was treated for it with antibiotics but still has cough and stomach ache. He has had this problem off and on for about 6 months now he vomits mucas often and is woried about going to school when his stomach hurts because he is embarrased to vomit at school. His lungs never sound bad when we are at the dr's but his dr said they sounded fine when he had the pneumonia. any ideas would be great.
Answers:
It sounds like he could have some type of food or environmental allergy. Try bringing him for a second opinion.

Other Answers:
Yes.it could be well past time to take him to a doctor!

where is the pain in his stomach? is it at the top or where? I have similar symptoms, it could be that he throws up because of the pain. Does his chest or back hurt at all?

this sounds like aspiration pneumonia, caused by acid reflux, he may have esophageal ulcers and or stomach ulcers with acid reflux, if he has this while he sleeps the acid comes up his esophagus and back down through his trachea, and finally in his lungs, causing aspiration pneumonia! with stomach and or throat pain from the acid burning the linings of the throat and stomach!
Source(s):
i have had this, nexium helped the acid and asmanex or flovent helped with the inflammation of the lungs!
