as a teen.you're a little young to be going through anything to stop entirely.you should only mess with that when's it medically necessary.not just because it's an irritation.but, if you want to know.seasonale (aka: a type of "the pill").you only get your monthly once every 3.

yeah there are pills. listen to loveline. &&&&&& GET PREGNANT

I think the Depo-Provera birth control shot makes you skip months. Research it online.

one is the shot birth control. but you better be ready to deal with side effects. which maybe you'll be lucky and not have. 2 take birth control pills. and skip the last 5. and go right into your white pills. I don't think that is healthy but it works. 3 is take seasonal birth control. but as of yet i have heard nothing about side effects.

The Depo-Provera birth control shot can make you stop having your periods but I don't recommend it because it can seriously mess you up.

Actually there is a new birth control that just came out.it lets you skip for like 3 months! you should ask your doctor about it!

If I didn't have my IUD, I would.

Medicines have side effects for some, I gained 10 lbs in 9months on the shot, and I was always spotting. Really, it would be better not to mess w/ your body and when you want to have kids you get a break. Its a pain, but its a natural women thing. Some women keep taking the pill when they have endometriosis, then they may have only 2 cycles a year. I think as you get older it will bother you less.

stress will make any one miss a monthly.think to much about it and it will not come but if you are around other women you will all get them one after another.

Please, please, please do not skip any birth control doses! If your periods are painful or you suffer from severe PMS, these can be signs of serious health problems. If you skip your period too often via birth control the lining in your uterus builds up creating a happy place for infection. (Seasonale is fine between you and your doctor)What is specifically bothering you about your period? Many women have a condition called endometriosis which is like a hardening of the uterus which makes periods painful and very unpleasant. Also, is this question coming from the teen herself or a family member? If this is a family member and this is a serious concern regarding her behavior consult your doctor.
