Yes and No. It depends if your tummy was flat before you got pregnant. All women's bodies are different.

Yes it is.severed muscles never come back together all the way and even if they did it wouldn't be the same.

I also heard about that.

yes that is true. A lot of women have plastic surgery to fix the problems.

Flatten the stomach? No. The permanent damage is to the uterine muscles, but that merely means that all future births must also be C-section.

It's harder for a little while after the birth, maybe four to eight weeks. But you shouldn't be worried about having rock hard abs during that time, anyway. At the point you actually have enough free time to exercise, your body will have healed and you'll be just as capable at working your tummy as you ever were.

no they make a small insision, nothing major

I heard it is harder to tone the stomach muscles back up after a c section. You should start doing ab excerices every day or every other day, slowly eventually you'll see results. Maybe 50 situps a day or crunches, whatever you are able to do. Then try adding a few more every day.

They make the incision right above the pubic hair.or even sometimes they have to shave you, so I don't believe that it has that much to do with your stomach muscles.

The pregnancy is what makes it hard to flatten the stomach because of all the excess skin, that seems to never go away!

I've had both the natural birth and a C-section.I had the natural birth first, and my stomach has been like it is ever since then. And to tell you the truth.I'd rather have a C-section!

Though, I wish someone would have told me how much pregnancy messes up the body!

With or without a c-section a woman's abdominal wall is compromised by pregnancy and may result in muscle tears either way. I've found the best excercises are those that work the higher and lower abdominal muscles rather than just crunches which focus mostly on the higher one's.
