something i want to tell you,LDL low density lipoprotein and HDL is high density lipoprotein
HDL is good for u,Ldl is harmful
following things can be done to raise HDL and lowering LDL
1.Do little bit of excercise in early morning
like brisk walking for half an hour
Dont exert too much if you your health doesnt permit you
2.NO SMOKING
3.Diet restricton of EXTRA fats,like avoid eating too much of oil,you can have nominal amount of oil(unsaturated refined oil like sunflower oil),
if your health is very deteriorating then you should avoid oil completely and take under any physician supervision
Avoid meat products ,,esp red meat like beef,mutton,lamb
Even avoid chicken stuff,,if possible
Fish is good for heart
only if it is cooked with less spices and little oil
EGGS -avoid yellow part(yolk) of egg,have only white part which is full protein and almost fully absorbed and good source of protein
LEGUMES-have legumes in your diet,we in INDIA ususally say it DAL,RAJMA,-i am sure these products are available world wide
Dont reduce your calorie intake if you are not obese
Shift your calories source to artificial sweetners provided if they are of good standard,,have sugar free tea and coffee
Have fresh fruit juice instead of tea and coffee as it is rejuvinating

4.Have lots of fruits and green vegetables,have good amount of salad
5.Take drugs whatever is prescribed by your doctor regularly
6.Redue your stress level by doing yoga classes
or by going to religious place if u like ,,or
there is something called laughter therapy,,there are laughing clubs all over world
or visit to some good place for outing with your loved ones
,,take a leave from work
7.Little bit of drink is good for health ,,till 60ml thats it intotal,,but it all depends on your liking
I have seen some patients who start drinking for reducing cholesterol and then became addicts of alcohol
So be careful,,,ask yur doctor ,,and only take undersupervision,,personally i never prescribe any alcohol to my patients,,as there are lot of other ways which are very helpful
8.Have a smile on your face
Smile is most important as it will reduce your stress
