It not necessarly means to not eat anything, but to watch what you are eating.When I say eat healthy that means try to eliminate fried, cooked food or fast food. Instead eat vegetables, fruits, grain cereal, drink water, and eat a balanced meal. Try to eliminate any other drink that is not water because most drinks them have too many carbohydrates or added sugars.

Exercising??
Try to set a goal for yourself. Do aerobics, exercise videos, running, or mainly focus in your abdonimal area.

Do it to impress your self and because you are a winner and not a failler!.
Try not to give up and have faith in your self. While you are exercising think about all the hard work that's going to pay off when you are in your shape. Find ways to motivate your self. Invite some friends to go run or exercise with you.

Do as follow and you will see great results. But if for any reason you don't find the results that will satisfy you, try this other alternative..

The Atkins Diet consists of you eating as much (certain) food as you want and loosing lots of weight. Of course by exercising too.

The Plan!!.
Eat has much meat as you want or any food that has few carbohydrates. You should eat any kind of meat, eggs, sugar free jello(has to be sugar-free), creamcheese, whip cream, and any kind of chesse. All these foods have few carbohyrates. The main plan is to watch out in the amount of carbohyrates you eat. Don't eat any kind of bread or food that has many carboyrates. Because if you do the diet and end up eating a lots of carboyrates the diet is not going to work and you will not lose weight. I recommend you to follow the diet strictly because it does give you great results.

The best way to loose weight is to cut cut down on bad carbs (like sugar, candy, cakes, cookies, soda,juices and so on), add more fiber to your diet (whole wheat bread instead of white, more vegetables and fruits). Add a little bit of good fats to your diet(like nuts, olive oil, salmon).Portion control and the amount of calories we eat is important too. One pound of fat equals 3500 calories, so in order to loose one pound a week, you need to burn 500 calories a day. You can eat 500 calories less a day or you can reduce you daily amount of calories by 300 and exercise 1 hour, which will burn another 200. For example if you substitute a regular coke by diet coke, you will save 150 cal, 150*365=54750 cal a year (that you can save), 54750/3500 (one pound of fat)=15.64, so you can loose 15 pounds a year, just by stopping drnking cola (for example)every day. It's also good to set up an appointment with the nutritionist and she or he will be able to develop a diet, which is right for you,according to your age, health conditions and weight. Also talk to your doctor before starting any diet.
Doctors usually do not recommend loosing more than a pound a week, they call it healthy weight loss. If you loose more than a pound a week, it is very stressful for the body, and it's easier to regain that weight again.
It's better to choose a diet that you can follow all the time, not just a month or two, when you loose weight and than you go back to your regular eating and you gain it again. So, that is my opinion and I wish you good luck in your weight loss.
