Does anyone know how to get dark maroon lipstick out of my light colored couch??!

Question:
I was on babysitting detail while my wife was out, and my 18mo old daughter got into her make-up bag and got it all over her new little easter dress and our light colored, canvas-like fabric couch. Please tell me that I'm not screwed!
Answers:
You're not. You will need to go get yourself a "red stain remover" from a store - it's great to have with a toddler in the house because it will get out juice as well as lipstick. Be sure to test it out on an inconspicuous area (like on the back of a seat cushion by the zipper or on the bottom of the sofa) before you use it on the stain. You can use it on her dress too.

Try club soda, that seems to help. Other than that my wife swear by a product called Orange TKO. It seems to get everything out

put a cusion over it

yes.. rub a little gasoline on the spot.. then some vinger water. and lastly wash it by hand.. and let air dry..

Depends on the couch's color. I suggest you Shout! it out.

I am guessing that you have micro-fiber furniture. If this is the case and it is on the cushion then unzip and buy Shout Oxy stain remover (Remove fabric from cushion)apply the stainremover and leave on for NO More than 5 min. (it will fade if any longer) Wash in cold water in washing machine and airdry It may take a few times but it Will Work!

Mom w/ 4 kids, been there done that!

Acetone works too. Just pour a little bit on the area. Remove the bulk of it with a papper towel. Then scrub. It should come right off.

Spot Shot stain remover found in the carpet care area at Walmart, Lowes, Home Depot, Target.
