ok i dont under stand why people say that if i pierce my own ears there gona get!

Question:
ok i dont under stand why people say that if i pierce my own ears there gona get infected? i know alot of people who have pirced their own lip, ears, tounge, eyebrow, and that little space between their eyebrows with safety pins and their pircing didnt get infected why is that? i would feel way better piercing my ears myself with a sterile needle that with a gun at the mall
Answers:
doh. I did my own ear piercings back in the day and yup they got infected. It took a long time too to get the needle through and I irritated the skin. With a gun it's over like a pinch.
I do know people who have pierced other things and got very bad infections. They all went with the guns. The trouble with piercing yourself is it takes too long especially through thicker skin than your earlobes. It hurts soooo much.

How about because it hurts a lot less if you get it done by a pro.

Allrighty than pierce your own ears. They are your ears. But, when you steralize a needle, you have to make sure that the gloves you are using are steralized as well, you don't want anything coming in contact with anything steral. You should never pierce yourself unless you know exactly what you are doing, that means reading every bit of material on the subject, and then some, buying the proper equipment, STERILE equipment, not just some safety pin. The risks are too many to list here, but serious infect and keloid scaring are to name but a few problems.

I would check www.bmezine.com. They have reasons for not using the gun, as well as reasons for not doing it yourself. If you are going to do it I would recommend a clean piercing and tattoo shop, they know where to place the piercings and have easy access to all the sterile tools necessary.

Yikes!! if i were you i would go to a pro to do it!

my aunt is a pro!

If you pierce your own ears you just need to clean them everyday for six weeks with something like bactine works really good and it is not true if you pierce your own ears they do not get infected they get infected only if you don't take care of them

here you go: some people are just born lucky.

otherwise, piercing- no, SHOVING a dull, unsterile object through tissue and capillaries and such is not such a wise idea.

when a real piercing is done, a hollow needle is used (within a sterile environment) to cut out a small tube of flesh. yes, the needles are more like tube shaped razors.

typically, an implant-grade steel or metal will be inserted following the needle. this makes for a much better fit, and it will heal more cleanly with less swelling.

it's also better to go to a shop because they won't stop halfway through, slow down from the pain, get a bad angle, etc etc.

it's really up to you, though. no one can make you take advice.

personal experience

please use sterile equitment to pierce your ears, my friend used sterile equitment , her ear still got infected, it almost fell off. but do not poke a needle through your ear and stick a earring in it.

Get it done by a gun hun. There pros i got mine done at Claires a year ago and they arent infected.Theres more of a chance of your ears getting infected if you do it at home.
