How bad does it hurt while getting a tatoo?!

Question:

Answers:
It's not bad at all. It is kinda painful depending where you get it. I have 2 on my back; 1 lower and 1 upper. They didn't hurt that much at all. After your done it feels like a carpet burn!

Other Answers:
It depends on where you get it done on your body. I won't lie, it's kinda painful, but you'll get over it if you want a tattoo bad enough.

depends on where you get and if it is close to muscles or bones

if it is close to muscles and bones it will hurt more than if you would to get it on for say a more fatty area of your body

Depends on where you get it. If it's on a fatty place, it doesn't hurt too badly. But if it's on a boney place, it hurts like HELL!

Depends where you get the tat.

my dad has had tattos and he said its not that bad

it hurts a bit.

It's like a cat scratch.a prolonged cat scratch

it doesnty hurt trust me im i got mine on my chest and its more annoying then painful..

it hurts a little bit have 10 of them

Depends on the location and your tolerance for pain. I only have one on my lower back. It hurt a bit, but the longer they work on it, it gets numb, or at least it is more stinging numbness than pain.

the less dense your skin is, the more it will hurt. back, shoulder, ***, chest areas tend to hurt less than arm, leg, neck, etc. most tattoo shops have a chart that shows different pricing for different areas of the body. the more expensive the area, generally the more painful that area will be.

Depending on the area it may hurt a **** load or not much. Ie if you get one on your ankle less fatty adipose tissue more pain! More fatty tissueless pain.

It depends on where you get it. I have 8 of them.

It hurts pretty bad.If you want to find out first hand then get you a needle and drag it across your skin for a few minutes. Do you want to know what hurts even worse than a tattoo? laser tattoo removal. It feels like burning your skin off.so if your really considering a tattoo think long and hard about what your doing..

The biggest factor in knowing whether it will hurt or not is how big the tattoo is. It really is like a prolonged cat scratch or like a really hot pencil. As you can imagine, the more they go over a spot the more it hurts. I have two tattoos, and the one that is mostly an outline was like a 2/10 on the pain scale and the one that is bigger and filled in was like a 6/10.

it really depends on where on your body you get it. the fleshier the part, the less the pain. i have one on my chest, and it didnt hurt to get, its more like an annoying, aggravating discomfort. the only pain is in the initial few strokes, but you quickly get used to it. ive heard that the ribs, spine, and foot are the most painful, i have friends who have tattoos in these places and they said it was excruciating. apart from that, its not so bad. its surely worth the pain, as long as you are 130% sure of the design. ephemeral things like boyfriends names, or a quote of the day i have found are often the most regretted. an image is more timeless, have an artist friend or the tattoo artist himself design something for you instead of picking from a book.

It gets numb after a while, its not bad. It does depend on where it is at though, I have one on the back of my neck, that one didnt hurt hardly at all, I have one on my chest, that one was very painful. The adrenaline helps with the pain, it makes it hurt less, I thought.

Its more of a burning sensation. But can be quite sensitive in various areas.

I have alot. you can check out my 360 site all my tattoo pics are on it.

It hurts pretty bad, like razors going up n down on your body, but like any constant pain it soon numbs-the degree of pain also depend on the location you choose, the more meat to the body the less degree, an ankle, elbow or lower back tattoo can get pretty intense.

the first time isn't so bad, but if your skin don't take the ink too well and it fades then you have to have it done again, then it hurts because they are digging into scar tissue. plus it depends on who's doing it and how deep they go into your skin.

Getting a tattoo is by far an exhilarating experience. The feeling isn’t one of pain really, it’s different then pain. It’s a unique feeling.

It depends on where you get it though. I have three. One on my back, and two on my foot. The foot definitely had a lot more pressure, and yes, it was kind of painful. There wasn’t much there. It was hitting bone. So of course, it hurt a lot more. Fatty spots don’t hurt as much. The one on my back didn’t hurt at all.

Regardless, just make sure you get something you want, and will cherish for a lifetime. Enjoy the experience and let us know how it turns out!

Always,
Crys

Everybody has different pain tolerances. I am usually a pretty big baby and I have three tattoos--the quickest one took an hour. The one that hurt the most was on my back and along my spine was where it was really painful. It is most definitely worth it and can be somewhat addicting. I would say though that most people agree along bones --such as your ankle, or on your spine or ribs--are painful areas. Also, your back area that coincides with your kidneys can hurt quite a bit as can the inside of your upper arm. I would say to take a while to really make sure you like the design you have decided upon and then make sure you get a tattoo artist who is willing to work with you a bit on where exactly to put it (once you have a general region) and how big it has to be for the design not to run together eventually. have fun!

Depends on the body part. The middle of my upper and lower back hurt pretty badly, even with a pain pill. The sides of my lower back did not hurt at all. Lower hip did not hurt much. My friend said top of your feet hurt ALOT and the back of the arms (if you're getting an arm band) are supposed to hurt alot.

Just don't drink alcohol before you go. It thins out your blood and makes you bleed more.

OK I'll Tell You How It Feels
take your top lip with both your hands
stretch it over your head
now staple it to the back of your head
And Thats Just A Little One

it hurts alot , but if you block your mind into thinking pleasant things or meditation helps too. and it also depends where you get it done .

i'm scared too i want to tatoo my eyebrows

It depends on your treshold of pain and where you're getting it done. Everybody is different though. For some people one place can be painfull while for others it wasn't. I was really scared when I was going to get mine done especially since my sister got a bigger tatoo and it hurt like hell. But I can honestly say the anticipation of getting a tatoo was much worse than actually getting it. It felt sort of like somebody was scratching you in one spot repeatedly and then it kind of felt like somebody was digging in an open wound. It's more annoying than painfull. The first 45 minutes for me were actually quite nice lol - masochistic as it sounds lol. Only later it became a bit annoying. But it was over much more quickly than I thought and when it was over I kinda felt like I didn't want it to be over he he he. I never regretted getting my tatoo and every time I look at it it puts a smile on my face. I had a great experience and I can't wait to get another one. So good luck.

My own first tat experience.

Actually, I don't think it hurts at all. Well, maybe only in the beginning. When the tattoo artist first starts you will experience a stinging sensation. After that, you get used to it and in my opinion it kind of puts you in a meditative state. It's addictive actually so I guess that's why I have six and plan on getting more, lol.

2 words-place and size.

oh it does'nt hurt al all.just the problem with it is it goes away in a few days.haaaaaa
