definetly

no.

sterling silver is stronger then any gold.

EDIT********

Dr Dee is WRONG!!

Platinum is NOT gold. It is not white gold, it is not ANY FORM OF GOLD. It is also NOT the strongest metal in the world.

Symbol Pt A silver-white metallic element occurring worldwide, usually mixed with other metals such as iridium, osmium, or nickel. It is ductile and malleable, does not oxidize in air, and is used as a catalyst and in electrical components, jewelry, dentistry, and electroplating. Atomic number 78; atomic weight 195.08; melting point 1,772°C; boiling point 3,827°C; specific gravity 21.45; valence 2, 3, 4. See Table at element.

Titanium is the STRONGEST metal in the world.

EDIT*********AGAIN********

Gold, in ANY form is a soft material.

If you have a gold ring, you will see that it tends to lose it's shape. It is easy to re-shape it, as gold is SOFT.

Silver (pure silver) and sterling silver are similar in their strength, the difference being that Sterling Silver does NOT tarnish, like Pure Silver does.

Silver, copper and nickel are stronger then gold. Platinum is stronger then silver, and Titanium is stronger then platinum.

Platinum is called white gold sometimes, and it is one of the strongest metals in the world.

I don't think so.

yes, of course.

BOTH are considered "soft metals" meaning they can be molded and shaped without appyling too much heat. Which is why you dont see many necklaces made from IRON. =) Neither is really STRONGER than the other.

Sometimes, depending on heat. Sterling Silver doesn't mold easily in both hot or cold climates. Gold will mold easily in hot (when I say hot, I mean beyond weather) climates, but not room temperature.

Silver is stronger because it is not such a soft metal, like any kind of gold.

Yes 10k is very hard it has more iron in it sterling doesn't have much iron in it

I THINK THAT 10K WHITE GOLD IS STRONGER THAN STERLING SILVER CUZ I ALWAYS WEAR WHITE GOLD BUT THEN ONE DAY I HAD WORE STERLING SILVER AND IT WASN'T STRONG CUZ I HAD FELL THAT DAY SO EVER SINCE THAT DAY I WEAR WHITE STONE CUZ WHEN I FALL I DOSEN'T BREAK.

no silver is very strong ang gold is very flexible

gold is more solid than silver
