A good ceramic, less pulling of the hair. I love one by Chi that also has a comb attached to it.

CHI!!

Begin with ceramic flat irons. They do less damage to your hair and leave it feeling soft and silky. There are a few good brands out there and depending on what youre looking for you could be spending $200 or more.

CHI!

Try getting one that is made with ceramic. Great for the hair and prevents it from burning and breaking.

chi at least get a ceramic if you cant afford chi

Use Titanium tools, they are ceramic and are usually not that expensive. They have great flat irons and curling irons and you can find them at Sally's Beauty Supplies stores.

It's called the MAXI Glide Flat Iron Straightener by Maxius. As Seen On TV. You need to see the infomercial. You will be amazed! It even has a built-in steamer. It's around 75 dollars. Trust me on this one. You can order online as well.

The Chi iron IS the best flat iron out there.but it is very expensive and here is a little something that these people probably don't know.

The only thing that makes the Chi the best is that it was made to withstand super high temperatures for extremely long periods of time. In other words, it was made so your hairstylist can have it on all day long and it's not going to get damaged or get too hot or blow out the fuse or anything. If you're just wanting to find a flat iron for use at home, there are some much more affordable alternatives.

Go to sally's beauty supply. What you're looking for is probably going to be in the 40-50 dollar range. Trust me, it's a good investment to get one of these brands. Hot tools, Helen of Troy, and Cermaic Tools are the best brands to look for because they were all modeled after the chi iron. You want the small one, the 1 inch size. Even if you have a ton of hair, this will work better for you because it concentrates all the heat into that one area.

Also, to get the most out of your flat iron, divide your hair into sections- do the hair underneath and then let the hair on top down to do it. This will give you that sleek, straight look you want.
