See these sources.

If you do what the sources say and you still have trouble sleeping, you should see your doctor for a sleep evaluation.

If you are overweight, you may have sleep apnea.

Other Answers:
When I can't sleep, I begin to meditate. I tense all of my muscles, and then untense them one at a time, beginning with my toes and working slowly up from there.
Always deep breathing, in through the nose, and out through the mouth.

If that doesn't do the trick, I start to envision a movie (think of how you dream). It "tricks" my brain into thinking I am dreaming, and I fall alseep quickly.

Try wering yourself out by like running, or doing situps before you go to bed and maybe that can halp you fall asleep. Hope that helps.

what do you do 4 hours b/4 sleep? do you drink coffee, tea or any caffiene? monitor your habits b/4 sleep the answer lies there

Do Yoga or meditate

Celestial Seasoning has a tea called "SLEEPYTIME". You can get this at your local grocery store or market. Also, ground sage is so good in stuffing for Thanksgiving Day, but it is also a good sleep aid. You can put 1 teaspoon in warm tea of choice with honey for sweetness. You will be sleeping peacefully. Also make sure you are not going to bed hungry, this will keep you up. You can get the sage at the store also. Warm milk is no myth, it works also.

a glass of warm milk, and try to not think of anything bad or exciting. Concentrate on relaxing your muscles and before you know it you will be waking up and it's morning!

Try an extract of Valerian root. This will calm you down and make you drowsy and you won't feel bad in the morning.

Relaxation techniques are one of the most effective ways to increase sleep time, fall asleep faster, and feel more rested in the morning. They require a minimum of 20 to 30 minutes before going to bed. There are many different techniques:

Visualization involves imagining a relaxing scene. You can try it in bed before falling asleep. Involve all your senses. If you're imagining yourself on a tropical island, think of the way the warm breeze feels against your skin. Imagine the sweet scent of the flowers, look at the water and listen the waves…you get the picture. The more vivid the visualization and the more senses you involve, the more effective it will be.

Yoga is ideal because it combines deep breathing, meditation, and stretching. A Harvard study found that daily yoga for eight weeks improved total sleep time, the time to fall asleep. If you've never tried yoga before, not to worry. There are many gentle yoga styles to choose from.

Progressive Muscle Relaxation is one of the most promising natural remedies for sleep. If you've never tried a relaxation technique before, this technique is easy to learn and simple to master.
