Am I crazy?!

Question:
Nowadays, I feel very intimidated, by anything and everyone. I'm a bit afraid to go outside, where there are crowds. The last few times, a random girl pulled out my headphone, when I was just walking down the street, and I was scared. I can't help feeling paranoid, I feel as if people are laughing at me. And, one day I was walking home and I was talking to my friend, who was next to me. One of the kid from the group, was making fun of me. I'd usually brush it off, as nothing. But, I can't help feeling scared, for some reason.

But I have no idea, I've never met you, but you probably aren't.

Sounds like agorophobia to me.

WHAT IS AGORAPHOBIA

The term agoraphobia has been widely misunderstood. Its literal definition suggests a fear of "open spaces". However, this is an incomplete and misleading view. Agoraphobics are not necessarily afraid of open spaces. Rather, they are afraid of having panicky feelings, wherever. these fearful feelings may occur. For many, they happen at home, in houses of worship, or in crowded supermarkets, places that are certainly not "open".

In fact, agoraphobia is a condition which develops when a person begins to avoid spaces or situations associated with anxiety. Typical "phobic situations" might include driving, shopping, crowded places, traveling, standing in line, being alone, meetings and social gatherings.

Agoraphobia arises; from an internal anxiety condition that has become so intense that the suffering individual fears going anywhere or doing anything where these feelings of panic have repeatedly occurred before. Once the panic attacks have started, these episodes become the ongoing stress, even when other more obvious pressures have diminished. This sets up a "feedback condition" which generally leads to increased numbers of panic attacks and, for some people, an increase in the situations or events which can produce panicky feelings. Others experience fearful feelings continuously, more a feeling of overall. discomfort, rather than panic.

A person may fear having anxiety attacks, "losing control", or embarrassing him/herself in such situations. Many people remain in a painful state of anxious anticipation because of these fears. Some become restricted or "housebound" while others function "normally" but with great difficulty, often attempting to hide their discomfort.

Agoraphobia, then, is both a severe anxiety condition and a phobia, as well as a pattern of avoidant behavior.

You might be suffering from anxiety. Visit your doctor and see if you can get help.

Go to the doctor. It might be a phase or something, but these kind of things are better dealt with sooner.

No I don't think you are crazy, but you do need to resolve this.

It's not crazy at all.

It sounds like you are very sensitive - that you are having very strong emotional responses to surprising things. This could be an aftereffect of some sort of trauma, or you could just be extra sensitive. I think some doctors give low level tranquilizers to help with this. talking to a psychologist or even neurologist is the way to go; i really believe you can be helped in this area.

yes you are crazy.but then so am i. it sounds ike you have an anxiety disorder or could be developing a panic disorder if so do yourself a faver and see a docter real soon. these things get out of control quick, can become very very frightning and even have painful physical symptoms.it can be controled. dont wait c a doctor now. ps of course im no expert

people get paranoid sometimes for weird reasons. You're not crazy, you're just intimidated by other people. You have to be more confident and open-minded. You can't keep telling yourself that people are laughing at you and criticising you. Ignore those people who make fun of you, they make funof you because they are insecure about themselves. People get scared sometimes and fear intimidation. If you keep showing others that you are scared, people will make you even more scared than you've ever been as they know it is your weakness. So be confident of yourself and just be yourself. Be the person you're most comfortable with.

If it doesnt work, see an expert. Check out your problem.

you are not crazy. But this thing happens to many people.

just try these.
Make many friends .Do new things.
stand to the ridicules friends make.
you will get habituated to these sort of things
afterwards whtever will happen wont cause you fear or concern.
Do good things to people whatever they do to you.
Think different. Its not easy but you should try.

you are coward or paranoid or you might have drank coffee so you feel jumpy. Try going to the psychiatrist to help you with the problem. maybe you are stressed so try relaxing with out the distraction, go to a beach or maybe a spa. try going into sports because it will help you open your presence of mind so you won't feel that scared, I recommend group sports like basketball or soccer. You might lack self confidence try enrolling in acting classes so you could open up.you're not crazy your just a introverted kind of person.

Actually your problem is psychic. You should not keep fear of anything in your mind. If you behave indifferently not only kids but grownups will also either tease you or throw some unbearable remarks.
You will have to be a doctor of your own.I will guide you.
First thing you will have to do is don't think about others; think of your own - study, games, hobies, fitness etc.
Please don't pay any attention to anybody other than your parents, teachers and best friends. If anybody remarks ignore it.
You should play more games and try to be physically fit.
Concentrating over it will make your body and mind srong.
Drain out all sorts of fears from your mind. Go ahead.

much love to ya :)

you are describing symptoms of the anxiety disorder known as agoraphobia. however i cannot say you have this disorder without clinical evaluation to rule out hallucinations, delusions, concurrent mood disorders, or concurrent axis 2 disorders (personality disorders or cognitive impairment). see a licensed mental health professional or any medical doctor (M.D.) for initial assessment. if you cannot afford a doctor, call 911 and tell them what you wrote. EMS will come pick you up and take you for assessment and initial treatment.
***Please note, it is unethical for any medical or healthcare professional to offer diagnosis or treatment online, while suggesting they are acting as a qualified professional. Do not believe online quizzes. Also note that the more severe anxiety disorders such as agoraphobia, along with possible psychotic symptoms like delusions of persecution and generalized paranoia are pervasive and typically do not respond well to just psycho/behavioral therapy. Psychiatric medications are likely to make recovery easier, more comfortable, and perhaps even POSSIBLE. See a DOCTOR. M.D. Ph.D. or Psy.D.
