Odds: Getting Hit By A Freight Train?!

Question:
What are the odds of someone from the US population being hit by a
freight train in their lifetime?
Answers:
I gotta think it depends on how much time they spend around train tracks.

But overall, I guess you take the average life expectancy and the number of freight train/person collisions over that time, divided by the population. But that's a little fuzzy, because population, life expectancy, and the overall danger may be changing over time (hopefully it's getting safer).

i have no idea. funky question!

THE ODDS DEPEND ON WHERE YOU LIVE. IF YOU LIVE NEAR A TRAIN THE ODDS WOULD BE HIGHER THAN IF YOU LIVE NO WHERE NEAR A TRAIN. I LIVE IN NYC.THE ODDS FOR ME WOULD BE ZERO TO NONE.

The 'odds' are directly proportional to the amount of time you spend drunk and walking on the railroad tracks!
