Aids is an STD(sexually transmitted disease)It can be transmitted by sexual contact with an infected person, infected needles, etc.Their is no cure

AIDS, or HIV, is transmitted through bodily fluids, so blood, semen, except saliva.. (you'd have to drink liters of saliva to get it).

There is still no cure. Check it out on the web.. There's plenty of information on it.

good luck.

AIDs is a virus, there is no cure.

AIDS is short for Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome. It makes your immune system very vunerable and was once a death sentence. It is now more controllable but certainly not curable. It is transmitted through bodily fluids (blood, semen etc). It is usually passed on as the HIV virus and may stay that way for years then one day may develop into fully blown AIDS which is not good. I'm not sure of the finer details just don't get it. Safe sex and if you use needles for anything never ever share (transfer of traces of blood). Stay safe.

AIDS stands for Acquired Immuno-Deficiency Syndrome. You don't get AIDS, you get the virus that causes the syndrome, called HIV (Human Immunodeficiency Virus). This virus attacks the body's immune defense system, white blood cells.

It is transmitted through blood and sexual fluids. One can get HIV through unprotected sexual intercourse (penile-vaginal, penile-anal, and possibly, but less likely, penile-oral, and even lessl likely, oral-vaginal), through sharing needles with other people (drugs, tattoos, etc), or through a tainted blood transfusion (although the Red Cross tests all their blood to make sure this doesn't happen).

There is no cure or vaccine for HIV, but there are drugs that slow down the replication of the virus, called protease inhibitors.

AIDS - its a immune deficiency syndrome not a disease.. it is caused by the virus HIV.. it attacks the T4 wbc's (the army against all the bacterias and viruses). hiv wont do anything other than this. but now there is no protection for the body since t4's are gone. now any disesse can attack.. even the common cold.. the man dies because of other diseases..

till now no cure available..
it transmits through sexual intercourse mainly and mouth kisses (90%)
and through blood transmission ( only 10%)

hello.

AIDS is defined as Acquired ImmunoDefficiency Syndrome. It is, by far, an infectiouous viral disease that is considered to be an autoimmune disorder. Simply put, AIDS is the by-product of HIV (Human Immunodeficiency Virus), which, upon making it's way into your circulatory system (i.e. the bloodstream), attaches to your white blood cells and accumulate to form new viruses.

Typically, AIDS virus multiplies to a certain extent inside your white blood cell, until it reaches maturation, rupturing your white blood cell and destroying it in the process. Massive loss of white blood cell impairs your immune system, thus the term immunodeficiency which is the autoimmune disorder itself.

They are transmitted through different ways, and can be acquired by, but not limited to:
--unsafe safe (no condom in layman's terms) with an AIDS infected individual
--"sharing needles" with an infected person
--blood transfusion, acquiring the blood of an infected person
--physical contact of a wounded area of an infected person's skin with a wound or open skin area of a non-infected person (like kissing when the lips are wounded or chapped).

So far, there are no definitive cures for this disease because of the diversity of the disease itself. AIDS virus is coated by a protein capsule that is very versatil to change, making it unsusceptible for antibiotics or any invasive chemical techniques. There are studies that study immunity against the virus itself, but it has yet to be determined and tested on humans.

Auto imune disese it satrts as hiv it transmitted by blood to blood ( always cover open wound!) there is no cure but patients are living longer and fuller lifes by seeking healthcare and taking perscribed meds!! It is a responsible thing to be tested, and use percautions such as dont touch any thing bloody with out gloves dont re use needles always use condoms
