what brand or product works best for high lighting?!

Question:
I want to highlight my hair but its red and dyes will never go in very good. what brand or product works best for high lighting?
Answers:
sorry i have to disagree about the Sun in. It is a night mare product and once on you can not have any formal salon colour applied to your hair other than vegetable colours which cant lift your hair.
If you have red hair then your hair wil prberbly need to go through whats acalled a ' double bleaching' . basically needs to be bleached twice. Sounds scarey but it is isnt, its just a slower process that uses a less aggressive product but allows the red ( stubborn) pigment to be removed.
this would then be followed by a toner to counteract any excessive gold tones that werent wanted, and would also help to reseal the cuticle and pack stuff back intot he cortex.
As a colour techie I absolutely wouldnt recomend doing it yourself, it just isnt worth it and by the time you had purchased the correct products to do it yourself you may as well have paid for a salon job.
If you are skint, contact your local college. thuis is an area that is covered in more advanced work and so you would mno doubt have qualified people working on you and would be in safe hands.
.. on the other hand you could leave your hair alone - red hair is gorgeous.
or you could have hair extensions put in in the colour blonde. they arent just used to make hair longer, but people have them put in to add colour and texture to their hair. if they are done well there is no damage and you arent committed to growing anything out. when you get bored you can just whip them out!!

If you don't want to spend much you can get a product called Sun In, I used when I was a teenager, and I really loved. you can find it at Walgreens and it's cost about $3 you just spray it,blow dry and it work excellent.

you need to go to a salon that uses swarzkoph products especially the bleach, to have professionally foiled! home jobs will turn your hair orange and its a nightmare!
