Other Answers:
There are a lot. The one that I have in mind is garcinia cambogia, a plant from Africa, available as chewing gum, to chew before meals. Seems that it has local action and it doesn't interfere with the center that regulates the stimulus of hunger and is found in our brain.
Another not harmful choice, is to take some tablets of brewers yeast with a glass of water, 1/2 - 1 hour before meals.
Usually, this category of OTC's that are used in the short-term treatment of obesity, are sympathomimetic drugs.
Take care because sometimes they contain amphetamines with its well known negative effect and even anticonvulsivant drugs have as a side effect effect the loss of appetite.
Please, allow me a small comment: GABA has this effect that is described below if it reaches the center that regulates appetite. This center is found in the brain. As you may know, there is scientific disaggreement at this point. Some scientists don't aggree that GABA is effective because it doesn't penetrate the ematoencefalic(blood-brain) barrier.
