How much earwax accumulates?!
Question:
I pulled a hunk of earwax out of my bf's ears, about the size of a small honey bee in each ear. It was almost black and really solid and might I add really gross. About how long would this have taken to accumulate? He wears earplugs alot at work and I'm sure this exacerbated the situation.

Same thing happened to my guy, but he's a music fanatic with the headphones.ended up going to the ER for it cuz I couldn't get it all. I got a lot too. Dr. pulled out 2x as much as what you said. He told him that some people poduce wax faster than others. But it took like a month or so to get that bad. Maybe 2 months max. It's just that those people have stickier wax than most people. Dr said not to use q-tips cuz it'd shove it in further. But to wash out canal with a bulb syringe with warm water often to reduce build up. It was rock hard too when it came out, and really dark. Ew. He was having a hell of a time hearing. I could hear his music through his headphones when he was across the room! When he was almost deaf is when I said lemme see.

you should go to the ear doctor..ear candles can also remove that stuff(get them at health food markets)
yikes that is a lot and that is gross..was he having troubles hearing or something?..I work in a nasty a*s factory myself and I am a painter there..I clean out my ears every day so I would have no idea how long that would take.weeks if not months
Your man is nasty. The fact that he has so much ear wax build-up signifies that he has very poor hygiene. If he does not clean his ears, I'm sure he does not clean other areas. He should be on isolation. I hope you got all your shots
I wear ear plugs every night at work and have a lot of buildup. You can get something that sprays water in your ear and it gets it all out. It really feels good to get it all out. Im not sure what its called maybe ear candles like matt the fish refered too. Oh yeah I do clean mine regularly though and have no idea how long that would take. Yeah its a bulb syringe not ear candles, that really works great a lot better than q tips feels good too.

uuuuuugggggggghhhhhhhhhh. Thats is gross. I am surprised the guy could even hear. He should buy some murine ear wax removal system (buy it in any store). That boy definately has some glandular problems.
