How to cure disc degeneration?!

You cannot fix it. What can help is doing some specific exercises. There are exercises that surround the weak tissure with strong muscle. This protects the weak area from future damage.

There is no cure. I have two slipped and one degenerated. If you can just endure, do it; like I do. If not, a chiropractor is a means of pain management only, not a cure. Chondroitin may help keep the disc hydrated a little.

Degenerative disc disease isnt curable. I have had 4 cervical lamonectomys- two fuisions and who the hell knows whats next. it hasn't reached my lumbar yet but im running out of cervical vertebraes. I do wish you the best of luck. if youre young they have a therapy called hanging yourself it takes the pressure off of your spine.

There are basically 3 stages of Disk degeneration (DJD, DDD, buldging disk, arthritis.or whatever you want to call it).mild, moderate, and severe. Although they are traditionally considered incurrable, studies as recently as last year, suggest they can heal. Therefore, mild degeneration need not proceed to surgery or a lifetime of drug use. Moderate, with proper attention, may stabilize and not worsen. Severe.good luck.drugs, surgery, a life of ongoing problems.you name it.so don't wait!

This is a little technical, but I'll try and make it brief. Disk material breaks down at an accelerated pace under increased load, poor nutritional environment, and lack of function/movement. Studies show smokers have more problems than non-smokers for example. People with "poor" posture do not have an effiecient alignment of their vertebrea, which increase load (wear/ and tear) and decreases the bones' ability to move. This is the major culprit in my opinnion. You see, if you cut a disk with a knife, it will not bleed like your finger would. There is no direct blood supply to a disk to provide it with nutrition, it has no blood vessels. The way a disk stays well nourished and full of water, is through a process coined imbibition (the process of drinking.latin i think). This process is not much unlike a wet sponge on a counter-top.when you press down on it fluid escapes.and when you let go fluid is sucked back in.these "squisdhes" keep the disks healthy (good stuff in/bad stuff out). Because poor posture leads less squishes, disks die and become thin and vulnerable to injury.
Whew.so..if it isn't too late.restore proper function to your spine and your disks may not only stop degenerating..but actually heal naturally.without drugs.or surgery.

P.S. Don't try hanging yourself."traction" over time will lead to weaker/stretched out neck muscles and your posture will be worse than ever.but it does feel good while you are doing it I have heard.
