Question:
has any one evr heard of vaginal vault prolapse? i think ive got that problem and need some advice.
Answers:
Vaginal vault prolapse is common after hysterectomy because the uterus acts as an anchor for the vagina. There are varying degrees of prolapse. In its most severe form, the internal vaginal tissue falls and completely everts. When this happens, there is an uncomfortable feeling of vaginal fullness. Vaginal vault prolapse can interfere with bladder function as well and cause urinary incontinence. In the past, first-line medical approaches ranged from observation of the condition when mild, to insertion of a pessary, in order to keep the vaginal vault in place. Two surgical approaches have been used frequently and successfully in the past: transvaginal surgery and open surgical technique of abdominal sacrocolpopexy. While minimally invasive and desirable because of less postoperative pain, the transvaginal surgery has a significant failure rate of up to 30%. Open surgery offers excellent strength -- 95% to 98% of repairs made this way are successful -- but may be rejected by active women because it exposes them to the risks involved in any major surgery, postoperative discomfort associated with open surgery, and 2 to 3 nights in the hospital. There is a newer surgery though called robotic-assisted laparoscopic sacrocolpopexy which has had a lot more success.

no never heard of it but if you r worried SEE A DOCTOR PLZ. time could b important

That is a serious problem. Please see your gynecologist. Asking strangers on the internet about something this serious is a bad idea. You don't know who these people really are. The person who says they are a trained health professional could be, in reality, the guy who picks up your trash every Thursday, or a twelve year old boy with a medical dictionary.
