What is short-term therapy like?!

Question:

Answers:
I think the most common form of short-term therapy is probably solution-focused therapy. This type of therapy focuses on your current problem and solving it in whatever way works best for you. You and your therapist would identify a problem, what your life without that problem would be like, and concrete steps you can take to make that problem go away. See the link below for a lot of good info.

short term therapy for what? Physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy or psychotherapy?

Better than none at all. Good Luck.

short peroid of time

Since you asked this question in the mental health section I'm assuming you're talking about psychotherapy. It's usually a set number of sessions, like 8 or so to help someone gain basic skills to cope with what they're there for. If someone was to be in short term therapy for something like an anxiety disorder then they would be taught techniques on how to deal with anxiety when it happens. Not sure if that's what you are asking but I hope it helps.

short term therapy is like 6 sessions lasting about an hour each time. it focuses on the main problems in your life and how to combat them. i personally prefer long-term so you can get everything out of it you need. talk to the therapist about having more sessions if thats what u need.
