I need some tips on losing weight and sticking with a plan.?!

Question:
I have some weight to lose and I was really focused on my goal of eating healthier and exercising until around January. I tend to get depressed and then lose my focus. Does anyone have any suggestions?
Answers:
The answer isn't too try to lose weight in the short term but to change your lifestyle in the long term. For example instead of watching TV take up an activity like mountain-biking or kayaking, try something new than you've never tried before but make sure the by-product is also exercise. The word DIET is a terrible one, it suggests something short-term which is why you're losing your focus. It's your lifestyle you may need to change. Also try sticking to easy goals like say just 2 healthy meals of fish and vege or salad per week. Make it achieveable. have a good easter.. Dave :o)

Give up Regular and DIET soda.

Well I'll tell you what my cousin lost 147 pounds doing within a year. It's, in my opinion, called the Grapefruit diet. You wake up in the morning, and have two eggs (cooked any way you like them) and two pieces of bacon, a half a grapefruit OR 8 ounces of grapefruit juice (unsweetend). Lunch have any kind of meat you want, unless it breaded, you can't do that. And a salad, as much as you wish of both, and either half a grapefruit OR 8 ounces of grapefruit juice. For dinner, have meat, and salad, as much as you wish. And half a grapefruit OR 8 ounces of grapefruit juice. Snack before bed, 8 ounces of SKIM milk. Go on it for two weeks, and then pause for two days, then go back on it.

Like I said, that worked for her. I tried it, and it didn't work for me.

Eh..

do something like this
eat 5 to 6 smaller meals a day, 2 of the meals should b protein drinks, the other meals should consist of
protein: egg whites, chicken, tuna, fish, steak
complex carbs: brown rice, yams, whole wheat breads
veggies: asparagus, green beans, broccolie, other green veggies
..cardio 6 days a week, in the morning, before any breakfast right after u wake up, walk on the treadmil for atleast 40 minutes..in the afternoon 3 times a week do a full body low weight circuit workout.. email me if u need anything else

The solution is to change your habits, to adopt a new lifestyle instead of a diet.
First of all, you need to find food and excercis habits that work for you and that you can stick with.. Then you need to find a support system to keep you motivated.
I'll give you some of my experience..
I tried differnt diets but didn't like any because i felt deprived and none seemed like a good lifestyle change to me.. then i found Jorge Cruise's 3-hour diet where you eat every 3 hours, and which promises a weight loss of 2 lbs a week which is the safest to lose in a week docs say.. it seemed simple, easy, and logical coz by eating eveyr 3 hours you keep your metablolism revved up and burning cals all day through, and because you eat more frequesntly you wont be as hungry at the next meal and so overall you're eating less.. it seemed healthy and safe and a good lifestyle change to me.. so i started it a month ago, i've lost about 7-8lbs,which is what the diet promised.. i didnt measure inches but i knwo i lost alot.. and its been so easy and simple i dont feel like i'm on a diet. so i'm determined to stick to it, when i reach my goal weight i still wont change it except i might add a little more calories for my main meals.. the best thing is that i have a great support system..i have my friend whose going on the diet with me..which is really good.. and i've built new friendships with some wonderful people on a forum for the 3 hour diet (http://www.3fatchicks.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=179) who keep me motivated and on track.. i think support is the most important part really..
Well, whatever way you chose to lose the weight, good luck!
