Although I'm sure there's many, many ways to fix it. I leave mine alone. I have tons of scars, all over. When I was a little girl, I got ruff, and now they are my battle scars. But if you are the type that wants the perfect skin, that's cool too. Don't be ashamed though, scars are a part of you. Mederma is supposed to be good. But something not alot of people try is that Coco Butter crap. It's good on strectch marks, it's good on scars. So maby a mix of both of them, and untill they're gone,

Try and prevent them. They have a spray on the market for you to buy and spray directly on you arms and legs . I think it is called bug off.
If you already have been bitten, try calamine lotion. they have that in a spray now

Scars are hard to fix when they've been there for years.. You can try Palmers lotion and products.
Go to the drug store and buy vitamin E pills. They come in gel capsules. I prick the capsule with a needle to get the gel out and use the inside gel on my scars. It helps to fade the dark spots.
My dermatologist gave me a prescription for Melanex. You roll it on a couple times a day and it eventually fades the scar .
