Why is my hand and a couple fingers numb?!
Question:
It's been that way for a couple of days.. I'm losing finger and hand strength too. Help! Any legit info, I am a bit worried
Answers:
You should see a doctor to get a check up. I know people who have had that happen and it was a pinched nerve or a carpel tunnel problem.. don't worry but as with any problem that is new.. it needs a doctor to diagnose . Good Luck.. :)
Other Answers:
Are you typing a lot? Are you a diabetic? You might have carpel tunnel syndrome.. I am not a doctor, I don't know what you may have done. You really should see a doctor.. It is possible that is is a minor issue.. but then again, it could be a sign of neurological damage.
idk im not a doctor. but 2 points!
Sounds a bit like carpal-tunnel syndrome. GO TO THE DOCTOR
loss of blood flow--poor circulation--or possible nerve damage around the elbow area---after a few days, it should be checked by a pro.
You could also have cervical stenosis. This is where the bones around the spinal cord close in and pinch it.
But, SEE A DOC!! This is not something to fool around with.

Father had this. Doc said if he had stepped off the curb or fallen, the bones would have cut his spinal cord and he would have died.
Also, I am a nurse.
If it is carpal tunnel your pinky and part of your ring finger would be numb. Do you have any pain travelling down your arm? That would be another indication of a spinal problem. Does it go away if you change positions? If so it may be a circulation issue, although carpal tunnel symptoms can also resolve that way.
Regardless of your answers, it sounds like a nerve problem, and those definitely need to be seen by a physician. Good Luck!
