How do you get an infection in your finger, when you don't have any cuts on it?!

Question:

Answers:
Could you have pricked your finger with a pin or a thorn? Did you get a bug bite? Did you have a hangnail or are your cuticles ragged? Do you cut your cuticles instead of pushing them back? It takes only a small opening in the skin to allow bacteria to get in and cause infection.

Other Answers:
without cuts its nearly impossible to get an infection but unless there was some bacterial infection that somehow got on your finger or hand

Maybe an ingrown fingernail

maybe something under the nail that you didnt know about or feel

i got a BAD infection on my knee chemical burn

Do you go for manicures? Have you ever had a nail infection?
Who says this is an infection? Do you think it is? Have you seen a professional?
What does the nail look like on the finger that has the infection? Your finger has 3 joints. Is the infection nearest the nail, the 2nd joint or the 3rd?
Hope you are well by the time you read this.
