No its not normal..take the baby to the doctor immediately!

If a baby has a seizure at any time in sleep or not then take that baby to the Dr. Explain to the Dr what has happened. No seizure is Normal at any time. From an epileptic of 41 years.

you need to not let the tongue in the baby's mouth chock her self or him self please get a doc

Baby's younger than six months do have an immature nervous system and will startle easy.Might want to mention to your pediatrician.

Please take the baby to the doctor, to be sure that nothing serious is involved. There's a chance that it's not as bad as you think, and the baby is just fine, but why take a chance that he/she may need medical attention immediately?

You should tell your doctor, and ask about the possibility of your baby's having Moyamoya disease. There are many, many causes for seizures, and this is a really RARE one, but not one to be overlooked. There is a lot of good information at the following links.

No. My daughter had seizures when she was first born, and also shook when there was a startling loud noise. She was on phenobarbitol for the first 6 months of her life.
