How exactly do diet pills work?!

Question:

Answers:
Diet pills have an appetite suppressant which makes you not want to eat. They also raise your blood pressure{not a great
thing} They also make you feel full after eating just a little. My advice?? Don't take them unless under a dr's care. As for the over the counter ones, they are dangerous,I don't trust them either.

Other Answers:
Doesnt diet pills defy the purpose of not eating.

They are high in Caffine which raises ur body weight and make you burn fat calories . but stay away caffeine is not good for u .

They make your hair fall out so you weigh less. OK so anyway they made MY hair fall out.

They work by pulling all the money out of your wallet so you end up weighing less without all of those gross dollar bills hanging all over you.

There's actually a great article on-line I read just yesterday on that very subject. I bookmarked it because I knew this subject would come up again!
The over-the-counter ones basically DON'T work. They claim to do all kinds of things which haven't been clinically tested or proven. Seems like you could grind up your old socks, put them in gel caps and sell them as diet pills and it would be perfectly legal.
Prescription ones work in a variety of ways.
The article speaks for itself.

They have a thermogenic effect which basically means that they raise your metabolism adn your body temperature. The higher the met. rate, the more calories you will burn at rest.

They should only really be used to give an extra boost to your weight loss when on a calorie controlled diet combined with exercise. In no way are they themselves a solution to a weight problem.
