Anyone know about sickle cell anemia?!

Question:
I would like to know how to treat/deal with the problems that come along with sickle cell disease i.e. the terrible symptoms, but without seeing a doctor, or doctor prescribed medications. Any suggestions for alternatives?

i do i know alot about sickle cell anemia.. my brother 18 years old died from sickle cel anemia, heart failure, and kidney diease. you must take prescribe medicine.. he had to take folic acid and some other stuff. if u dont it can be very dangerous and could cause you to become impaired if not probaly taken care of. It is important to eat heathly and exercise regulary and try to stay in a postive mood.. My brother lacked almost all 3 of these and met an untimely dimise.. God rest his soul.. so if its you who have sickle cell anemia or someone u know please do what u need to do for yourself

caused by a mutation in blood protein . symptons r blocked blood vessels leading 2 spleen lung and heart damage and stroke. treatment is a bone marrow transplant which is a high risk operation.

folate. and other vitamins but especially this one

Sickle cell anemia is a blood disorder that affects hemoglobin a protein found in red blood cells that helps carry oxygen throughout the body. It is mostly found in African ancestry, but also occurs in other ethnic groups, including people who are of Mediterranean and Middle Eastern or Latino.
It’s when your red blood cells are shaped more rigid and curved in the shape of the farm tool known as Splenetic - that's where the disease gets its name.( like the Grim Reaper). The shape is similar to a crescent moon.
But I don’t think that u can treat the disease without medical treatment. My neighbor had it, and he was always in the hospital. I think that it’s better to get medical treatment. I never heard of any one surviving the disease without medical treatment. And even then they ended up dying. I did a project on this. Most of the symptoms, are treated by a doctor. Like strokes, kidney problems, Splenic sequestration crises, Painful crises, Acute chest syndrome, and so one.
I strongly encourage medical treatment. I hope this is some what of a help.
