PLEASE! Don't use any whitenning or bleaching substances on your member. That's asking for trouble. That area of your body is extremely sensitive and delicate. The last thing you want to do is put an abrasive substance on it that would irritate it and cause a whole other set of problems.
I understand your dilema. I too, use to wonder why that part of the body is darker than the rest. This is because it's skin surface area is fleshier than other parts of the body, so that it can accomodate stretching when an erection occurs. I know it may not look attractive but as long as it does the job, I'd leave it alone!
It is most important to think seriously about why you want to do this. If it is to please your partner, you may have the wrong partner. Sex is 95% in your heart and mind. Think very seriously before making changes to your body.
