Why do I have to pee so much before the onset of my period?!

Question:
Now this doesn't happen every month, but it happens alot. About 2 weeks before my period I have to pee all the time. I don't have a UTI and I'm not pregnant. I also have severe lower back pain that radiates down to my tail bone. Please help!
Answers:
A lot of people retain water before their cycle begins. And, of course, when you retain water for a few days, at some point it has to be expelled from your body (hopefully!). So I imagine that's what the frequent bathroom visits are about.

As far as the pain, uncomfortable as it may be it sounds like normal cramping. Ibuprofen and a heating pad can help.

Other Answers:
Its normal, I pee alot too before my period nothing to fret about. Back pain also a common symptom.
