My neck makes noises?!

Question:
my neck makes weird noises sometimes, like my jaw a clicking noise or grinding . anyone know why?
Answers:
As you move your joints you can cause a vaccuum to form in the fluid between the bones. This creates a bubble and when it pops you hear the cracking noise.
The cartliage rubbing together on the end of the bones is also a noisy affair.

My neck also makes noises.
I think it's very similar to cracking your knuckles: just some cracky joints. Nothing to worry about.

The jaw could be TMJ (Temporal Mandibular Joint Disorder). The neck. have you had an injury?. sounds like you're getting osteoarthritis.

Addendum: Old injuries, even minor ones, can lead to osteoarthritis. Get some X-rays.

I get a cracking noise in my knee, it's because I've got osteoarthritis in it. Go to the doctor and get that checked out. An accident from 5 years ago can still have consequences, I had a minor whiplash injury around 20 years ago, my neck still hurts some times from it!

i think most people's neck does, it's structure are ligaments and bones and cartillages. nothing to worry about, it's not goin to kill you.
