im about to take erythrocin st i got skin abcess will it harm me?!

It's never good to take antibiotics without first seeing a doctor, if it's not the right one for the job, you are strengthening the bad organisms. Not good.
If you are trying to avoid going to the doctor, I'd try an epsom salt soak or hot compress several times a day for a couple of days to draw out the puss. Also clean it with a half and half mixture of iodine/peroxide for a couple of days if you can, then peroxide alone for a couple of times, and keep triple-antibiotic ointment (Neosporin) on it at all times for three or so days with a bandage. DON'T PICK AT IT! It'll take a while but it will heal.
Staph infections will heal, but the staph always remains in your body in one form or another after that Keep this thing clean; salts heal, iodine/peroxide is sterile, triple-antibiotic heals and prevents.
Take better care of yourself.

Erythrocin is a form of eryhtromycin.an antibiotic. It should be safe. However, if it doesn't clear up within a week to 10 days os antibiotic treatment, consult your Doctor. You didn't mention if you have any other illnesses, such as Diabetes. Do you have a Diabetic ulcer?
I would agree with the 1st guy, also think about if it does not get better quite soon, like 5 to 7 days or gets worse it make abe a strep infection of the skin this is really prevalent right now, antibiotics will sure it but need to keep an eye on this!
