what is the best meds for an anxiety/depression/pstd diagnosis.I need help, can'!

Question:

Answers:
Unfortunately, if you feel you are suffering from multiple psychiatric conditions, medications are only going to provide you with limited help. If you have been formally diagnosed with PTSD, then the likelihood of you also having depression and anxiety as separate diagnoses is unlikely because PTSD will typically serve as the underlying problem, which almost always cause secondary feelings of depression and anxiety. The optimal treatment for any of these disorders is cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). You should try and find a doctoral level psychologist (e.g., Ph.D. or Psy.D.) who specializes in CBT. CBT can provide complete remission of your symptoms (controlled outcome studies have found outcomes as high as 80%; no medication can compete with that outcome rate). If you don't believe me, please find any book by Edna Foa, Ph.D. She is one of the foremost experts on anxiety disorders, particularly PTSD. She has some self-help books on PTSD also that you may find helpful.

Other Answers:
Paxil, Celexa, Bus-Par or lexapro. Really have to talk to your doctor. Maybe a lower dosage. Just don't stop taking them. The withdrawls are terrible.

Sometimes it takes awhile to get the right med and the correct dosage. Just hang in there and take your doctors advice or get a second opinion.

well y r u depressed? Try 2 have som fun and forget about it!

Why do you say that you can't tolerate serotonin? This is a natural part of the human chemistry in the brain. People who have Anxiety/depression/panic attacks are usually lacking serotonin in their brain and that is why they take medications called serotonin re-uptake inhibitors, such as Paxil,Prozac,Xanex, etc.
Check out some info on webmd and see your doctor too. Not just a regular doctor, but someone like a psychologist who can diagnose your severity and can give you many choices that will help you deal with this.
Good luck to you! Zoya.
