my ankle is burning in pain for the past 2 weeks??!

Question:
Now it feels like its going up my calve. Ive been excersizing everyday on the eliptical. Is is from that? It is swollen and I can barly walk on it? Should I go to the doctor?
Answers:
I'm not an expert, but it sounds like you hurt your Achilles tendon, which is a muscle that connects your heel bone to your calf muscle. Stop straining your leg immediately - i.e. keep that leg off the elliptical and give it plenty of rest. See a doctor to determine how bad it is and what you should do.

Other Answers:
I would say that it depends on your past exercise experience. If you are fairly new to the eliptical, I would suggest that you alternate days on it or make sure you have good supporting shoes. The swelling can be from overuse. However, if it becomes red, hot, bruised or if the pain becomes radiating and you can't stand it, then I would suugest you contact your doctor.

Stop exercising, that's what's making it work up the leg. That's just working your nerve endings into overtime. Take some Advil and make a appointment for the doctor.
