How to put on some weight .?!

im 5'6 and i am 120 pounds. I need to put on some weight as it has become a major issue or me as i feel very embarrased when people ask me my weight. I need some help on this.

We have started a program of 500 calories a day more than her normal eating habits of 1000 calories a day and within
a month we hope to have her at 2000 calories a day.
We have also started a cardio and weight training program to gain lean muscle mass not fat, Lot's of pasta, chicken, fish, fruit, whole milk, and protein shakes we prefer Muscle milk for it's taste and calories.Good eating habits are hard to keep up with at any age but you can get pretty creative with good foods and protein shakes.REMEMBER GAIN MUSCLE NOT FAT good luck

No, you don't need to put on weight. YOu are, by definition of BMI, in your ideal weight range.

I am trying to do this myself. It depends though if you need to gain. Check with your doctor. I am 5'4 " and weigh less then 115. A doctor told me to gain up to 120. But you are taller.

I have had health issues and go to see a dietitian this month.

But why would you want to put on weight? I'm 5'1 and I weigh around 120 pounds. Some people say I'm small, and it gets annoying, but I like being small. You shouldn't worry about what other people think, what is most important is what you think about yourself.

Seriously though, do it healthy. Kind of the opposite of atkins.

If you feel comfortable with your weight, then I suggest you keep it. But if you want to gain weight then you could eat three meals a day, don't forget the starch. Don't do what I did, I gained weight and I didn't even exercise. I got thick in the right places, but my stomach got fat as well. You don't want that to happen, so make sure you work out. Don't worry about how others feel about you, you are the one who have to carry the weight not them. From your description you look nice the way you are. Are you tall enough to be a model? Good luck on your growth, physically and mentally.

Drink alot of protein shakes and eat pasta.
