Am I TOO thin?!


Question:
I'm 5'5 and weigh between 110 & 113 pounds.
I run between 3-4 miles 6-7 days a week.
I do eat, but I do watch what what I eat.
If I'm healthy, does it matter so much that I'm on the 'skinny side'?

If your skin, hair, body organs all are in good shape, you are probably okay. Your weight does seem like you might be too thin for your height though.

If you are not UNHEALTHY, it does not matter if you are on the skinny side. Some people are naturally that way because of heredity.

You sound perfectly healthy and normal to me. I am curious as to why you think are too thin. What is too thin or what is too fat? Be yourself and be happy.. dont let media,friends,family or whoever make you second guess yourself.you are beautiful inside and out but have fun.

Skinny people scare me. As long as you're not obsessed with being thin you're probably fine. If you're on line asking people if you're to thin, you're probably obsessed.

You do sound a tad on the thin side, dear. Are your periods normal? If they cease, there's a definite problem. Another serious warning is hair loss. If you watch what you eat, I hope you take a multiple vitamin daily. And make sure you get a good intake of calcium, esp. as you are a runner. You need some good strong bones to support that. No, you are normal, and I think you're very healthy. It doesn't matter what people say, just look at he other side of the mirror, if you fell comfort and satisfied with that body, with they way you look now, keep it. Nothing wrong, with being skinny (though I think you're not) and still watch what you eat. If half of Europe and USA are like you, we can feed all those hungry malnutrition people in Africa. And instead we just stuff all that food and spend millions to reverse the fat effects. I met someone in this forum that also 5'5" and just 100 pounds, but she still want to be 90 pounds, so what?

Everyone has their own opinion of what is to skinny or not skinny enough. For example, I'm a woman, 5'8" and 125 pounds. Is that to skinny? Some say yes and some say not skinny enough. Go with whatever weight you feel comfortable and happiest at.
