If you find out let us all know!

Take birth control.

Get a depo shot. It stoped my completly :)

cant do anything, and should not do anything.
u can try douching before the weekend to get the excess blood out but thats the best u can do. cant stop nature.
if your period is longer than 7 days then consult your OBG-YN for some birth control pills or something to regulate your cycle.
NOTE- u cannot take any birth control pills or shorts WHILE u r on your period, only once its over, otherwise u will mess yourself up.
any birth control that will stop your period altogether is too strong and too high of a hormone level for you and it very unhealthy, posing a risk to your long-term health.
your body does this for a reason, this helps to remove certain toxins and renew your uterus, otherwise u can get some serious illnesses, as u know women who have menapause experience several such illnesses for this reason, as well as hormonal imbalance.

There is no way a woman can do that. There is just no possible way sorry!

you exersize as soon as you get it!!

If you are on birth control, you can skip the sugar pills that are for your period time and go to the next month. If you are not on the pill than sorry, you really can't stop the natural process of menstration.

don't think about that,it's nature.

Pick the pen up?

if you are on birth control if you start a new pack the week you are supposely will have your period you will not get your period otherwise taking Advil or Aleve usually helps, but it is not concrete every woman's body reacts differently.

i'm pretty sure this is just a myth.. but i've heard if you take BCP's take the blue ones (5-6) and it should stop! or get the shot that WILL work!

Before I was married and the Depo shot like now , what worked for me was drinking loads of soda and eating pickles I don't know why.

ONly way I know of is to go on the pill and not take the suger pills at the end of the pack. Or get that depro vera shot , I didnt get my period for 3 months after I stopped taking it .

Honey, You cant. The period is a natural cycle and it will go away when that cycle ends. Nothing you do besides making yourself ill will shorten or stop it when you want it to stop. So just do as hundreds of woman do every month, plan around it and whom ever your wanting to see on the weekend, can wait for the next.

If you are on the pill, you an skip your period by not taking the placebo pills (7 day supply) and skipping right to your next pack (21 day supply).

obviously as everyone else is telling you, there is no natural way to stop your period, but from my own experience you can definately slow/lower the flow,
drinking lots of water is one way, and it keeps you hydrated so your craps are not as bad

My suggestion is Seasonale. It is a birth control approved by the FDA for the reason of controlling your periods. I use it and it is great!! Here is their website. Talk to your doctor, it is great!!
http://www.seasonale.com/

the only way you can control your period safely is through birth control methods such as depo which is a shot you take every three months. Seasonale which is a new birth control pill that is out. If you are not taking anyone of these methods then there is no way that you can stop your periods safely.

Talk to your ob/gyn if you're serious about shortening your period. Your period is not necessary, it does not 'get rid of toxins' like another poster suggested. Your body prepares for pregnancy every month. If you ovulate and your egg is not fertilized, then your body sloughs off the thickened lining of your uterus produced for pregnancy. You should speak to your doctor.

i have the same problem,,,,all i do is drink larger,,
it sort of slow the blood down.but see at least twice a month, but may be down to my condition
