This is a relatively simple and safe surgery. I had my gall bladder removed a few years ago. You may want to ask your doctor about special diet considerations after the surgery as sometimes the fat in my body doesnt metabolize since the surgery. This varies from person to person. All will be well with your mom =) Its a very simple procedure and I was back to work the next day.
