I'm over weight and i'm twelve what should I do.?!

eat right, small porportions, NO JUNKFOOD! i lost 10 pounds by citting out candy and cake last summer. dont be afraid to jog, jump on a trampoline go to your local ymca, play basketball, baseball, tennis anything that get you moving and your heart pumping. by the end of the summer you will look and feel great just beleive in yourself and know that you can do it just put your heart into it. also know that you arnt the only one in the world that feels the way you do. ask a friend to run with you or swim make it a habit to always keep moving. and eat 3 meals a day and 2 small snaks remeber porprtions a tiny scoop not a glop. also eat slower so you can tell wen yuor not hungry. and eat until you are satisfied not totally full because it takes a while to get the food to your stomach.GOOD LUCK your beautiful!

Get more active. Ride your bike, or start jogging.

If you have a doctor talk to him/her. Try starting slow. Drink your eight glasses of water. It is hard at first, I don't like water myself, but it helps. Then start to move. Get one of those pedometers. You can find them at Wal-Mart for like $3. See how much you walk in one day. The next day take 500 more steps, add 500 steps a day. Every month change something in your diet. That way it doesn't seem so hard. It will take time, but please stay away from any pills or supplements.

You should start with a new daily activity. If you currently get a ride from and to school, you should try walking home every more often. Any amount of exercise you can get during the day will only help you out if you are trying to lose weight.

We always think that we have to finish eating what we have in front of us. Maybe because that's the way our parents taught us or we do that to "not waste any food." Even once we feel full we continue eating to finish what's on our plates. All I can say is that it isn't a very good habit for a person that is over-weight.

Eat healthy, get exercise. You're twelve, you shouldn't have a problem losing the weight, all you have to do is propose it to yourself and have some discipline.=D

At 12 you really shouldn't worry about it too much. As you grow up a little bit your body weight should start to regulate it. Just be sure you are outside playing and being a kid. Definitely don't be a couch potato. You do need to be moving out side! Riding your bike or roller blading/skating is great! Swim in the summer and don't overdue it at meal times.. You will be OK!

In Hungary there has been a diet system developed that is partly based on Atkins, but easier. There are three time zones.
6-12: code 3
6-15: code 2
0-24: code 1

These are the time zones you can eat food of these codes. If the code of one component is 3, then the rest is 3 as well.
Code 3: anything with white flour, sugar in it.
Code 2: whole-grain, fruit sugar.
Code 1: everything else. Dairy, meat, low-carb stuff, artificial sweetener stuff.
