Is a diet without (lean/other)meat, chicken, fish and vegetables healthy? why or!

Question:

Answers:
If you remove a specific food group from your diet, then it is important to substitute the nutrients that you would have gotten from that food group by other means. If you are going to eliminate meat, that is fine and a lot of people do this. You will need to find another food source that is rich in iron and protein though. I don't think you should eliminate the vegetables though. I don't know of ANY diet that promotes that! The best thing to do if you are considering a drastic diet change is to speak to a doctor or registered dietitian/nutritionist before doing so. Good luck!!

it is you need protien but it also depends what diet it is

No meat and no veggies, that means you will be eating fruits, fat and grain. No, that's not healthy. No protein. Meats, soy, legumes are our main sources of protein and you don't have any in a diet of fruit and fat.

meats and fish contain a lot of essential vitamins that you need in your diet. dont cut them out unless you plan on eating kidney beans and other gross food to try to replace those vitamins. For example a lot of vegetarians get B12 deficiency anemia. Vitamin B12 is in a lot of meats. your body needs B12 to make red blood cells. If your dont have adequate amounts of it, your body doesnt make enought RBC'c and you'll get tired very easy, and be at an increased risk for infection.

A diet without meat, chicken, fish, or vegetables does not leave you much. Your choices are then insects, shellfish, fruits, grains, berries, fungi, nuts, etc.

You might be able to work out a good balanced set of nutrients, vitamins, minerals, etc. out of this but it would take a lot of work.

You need some meat in your body, Or else you'll get anorexia or something!

No because your body needs the protein as well as so much fat in your diet on a daily basis. The vitamins in vegies cannot be replaced by other foods so if u r gonna cut all of that out of your daily diet atleast take a multi vitamin daily to supplement the protein, calcium and vitamins your body needs

A diet without meat might be "healthy", but you're gonna be hurtin for proteins.
There are alternatives like soy, but soy sucks.
Seriously, soy sucks
and your body already knows how to process meat proteins.
There would be a painful learning curve involved in getting used to digesting soy and other plant proteins.

No, it's not healthy because you are not getting enough protein in and calories in. If you are doing this to lose weight than you are losing muscle. You need food and exercise to maintain your musle. That diet of yours won't get you anywhere healthy.
