boils are like big painful pimples on your butt, herpes can form on your anus, the lips of your vagina the surface is hard and they itch, they can even be found on the cervix and cause painful menstrual cramps with no bleeding that's the disease attacking you uterus. this disease can also effect your ability to have children if not caught in time.

I really dont think they are similar. i usually associate an 'outbreak' with a zit filled with fluid.
