Do you recognize these symptoms?!

Question:
I have always been a night person and it was always easier for me to do things at night than to wake up early to do things. Anyway, I used to work early mornings till afternoon and then go straight to university at night. It was fine but then it got really hard for me. It´s gotten worse and now I have too much trouble to wake up early, even after getting 8 hours sleep I still have to stay in bed for one or two more hours. I always feel tired, I have no energy to exercise and I need to do it, never mind mentioning I need to change my diet too. Anyway, what´s scared me the most is like two weeks ago I woke up suddenly and I felt terribly dizzy, it was so bad I had to stay in bed until it went away. Today it happened again. After I woke up I was sitting reading and got dizzy again. I also feel nausea in the mornings and I wake up feeling somehow sick and in a bad mood. Just in case, I know for sure I am not pregnant. Please help!
Answers:
You should go to your doctor and get a sleep test done (a polysomnogram). There could be somethings going on at night that you aren't aware of. Things that are disturbing your sleep and making you tired. It could be Restless Leg Syndrome, Sleep Apnea or a Circadian Rhythm Disorder. Go this this website: http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/sleepdisorders.html

to learn more.

Good luck.

I've had the same thing, and unfortunately my doctor said its just my personal rhythm. I need at least 10 hours of sleep to function, get dizzy and nauseous if i get up early in the morning and overall function much better at night. Your first step should be to get some bloodwork done-- you may be low on iron, which would cause dizzy spells, or lacking vitamins. If they dont find anything like that, it may just be the curse of the night-owls-- it sucks, and i'm still learning how to live with it!

Agree with K. Have bloodwork done. Fatigue could be attributed to anemia or some other iron deficiency. You probably are just running yourself ragged honey. You can only committ to an aggressive schedule like that for so longer before it catches up to you. Other things can make you tired (non-disease wise) like stress and depression. As for the nausea and dizziness, I don't know about that. But I hope you get some answer and feel better soon.

Your symptoms to me sound like depression and anxiety/panic. Now I am not a doctor, but I have or have had all those symptoms. Especially the sleep problem and the nausea and dizzyness in the mornings. I without making myseld vomit almost everytime after I wake up from panic. Sleep problems and depression go hand in hand.
