Can you return a dress that has alterations made to it?!

Question:
if you buy dress and have the straps shortened to fit and then decide you have to return it for some reason. will the store allow the return?
Answers:
i doubt it, but its worth asking the store if they would accept it, they may! cause also, you only had the straps shortened, there werent any major alterations. good luck! =]

Other Answers:
No. I can't imagine that any store would.

Probably not, if you tell them. I would just try to return it and see what they say. If it is a good alteration, they probably won't even notice!

if the tags are on it. I returned a suit that I had hemmed (tags were still on it)

Don't tell them what you did to the straps. just take it back to the store like you didn't do anything to it.The tags have to be on it though. If the store takes it great!!

sure tell them it was like that when you bought it.

No.

No unless they say it is not a problem. It would suck if oyu were the person that bought that return and it did not fit. You can always try.

Not usually, but it depends on the store I guess.

Not if you have integrity. No one else wants a dress with shortened straps.

dont realy think so maybe just dont tell them let them figure it out themselves if they dont figure it out well thats better 4 u
