Why does my son's hair smell like wet dog?!
Question:
Even right after it is washed, it smells like a wet barnyard animal. Does anyone have a clue why this might be?
My daughter and the rest of the family do not have this same problem.

you have to actually scrub the scalp not just run your fingers over or thru it. use a childs brush if you have to, but the scalp needs to get some circulation.
i've dealt with this problem before with clients.

well..if i wait awhile to dry my hair and don't right away, it smells like wet dog. dry it as soon as u can and maybe there is some shampoo to help with the probolem:)
or maybe it's the shampoo that you are using now:)

Is he for sure using shampoo in his hair? I know of some kids who just wet it down and they don't use shampoo, then their hair stinks!!
If he's for sure using shampoo maybe he needs a different shampoo. Try a shampoo that's made for guys!
Being 18 months old, I'd experiment with different shampoos. I used the Products by Jafra when my kids were little and they always smelled great! Maybe your hair stylist could also recommend some good products for him as well!

i don't know, but tell me when you find out. I have the same problem w/ my husband's hair. Even after he shampoos it it stinks. Weird huh??
Try using a scented shampoo with conditioner. If you are letting him wash it, then perhaps you might want to wash it yourself in the sink. Use a pleasant fragrence like Apple, wash-rinse-repeat. It might be all about the shampoo or his inability to properly wash his own hair.
Wash his hair with Lysol!

Are you rinsing hair thoroughly? Might have cradle cap or skin condition.
Go to a doctor. It's likely he has some kind of infection in his scalp.
Maybe your son is a dog. Nah Sike! Hopefully? But anyways tell him to use a girl shampoo and conditioner. I guarantee his head will smell good.
