Did you wake up with this "taste" in your mouth? Were you at a party drinking last night? hmmmmm.

Check for discarded salt shaker.

drink water to dilute salt

If you've been eating a lot of foods that are high in salt, that could be the reason. Try counteracting it with something sweet.

have you eaten a lot of salt as of late, like in the last few hours. ?

drink some water with lemon or lime in it. or try brushing your tongue when you brush your teeth and rinse with mouthwash.

saliva is salty tasting and you need saliva in your mouth to protect your teeth and gums so if you are going to rinse use a mouthwash without alcohol as it will dry out your mouth.

Go to the dentist it could be a sign of gum infection due to a bad tooth or something.

Drink enough water during the day so that your urine is nearly clear, a very light yellow is normal. It sounds like you are dehydrated. 8 glasses a day is generally the rule of thumb. Drink 2 glasses of water when you wake up in the morning and have a glass of water every few hours. If you drink soda/pop, cut back to only one or two cans/bottles per day as those can cause a bad taste in your mouth as well. I hope this helped.
